The Veterans Administration offers Aid and Attendance as part of a Pension Benefit that allows for Veterans and surviving spouses who require the regular attendance of another person to assist in in daily living task as bathing, dressing, transferring, housekeeping, meal preparation and transportation.
Aid and Attendance is a benefit paid in addition to any monthly veteran pension and/or disability compensation you may also qualify for.
This tax-free benefit is designed to provide financial assistance to help cover the cost of long term care in an assisted living facility, a nursing home or in the comfort of your own home.
